Empowerment.  That's what it takes to make positive changes in your life.  Our counselors help clients increase their awareness of their alcohol and other drug use patterns and encourage them to develop constructive alternatives to problems in their lives.

The staff at Prevention and Recovery Northwest shows our clients that their goals are attainable and changes are possible.  We offer caring, professional counseling through private sessions or group participation.  Clients learn to be assertive in making positive adjustments in their lives - making it easier to avoid problems with alcohol or other drugs.

We offer both adult and youth services.  Prevention And Recovery Northwest has been working on site in Eugene and Springfield schools since we pioneered Student Assistance Programs in 1983.  We started the more intensive SUCCESS Program in 1991.

Outpatient services are available to individuals, couples, and families.  Group treatment services include cognitive restructuring, relapse prevention, women’s specific, men’s specific, methamphetamine specific, cognitive behavioral restructuring, dual diagnosis, family therapy, couples therapy, and aftercare.

Getting the Message

Getting the Message is the 8-session alcohol and drug education diversion program at Prevention and Recovery Northwest.  The program encourages behavior change through educational and behavioral skills training.  According to researchers, the briefest interventions sometimes produce the greatest effects, and reduce recidivism.

Many of the services we provide are made possible by the generous support of our funders.
